Darren Marlar specializes in stand-up comedy for the corporate and church markets, even customizing portions of his show specifically for your audience while remaining affordable! Darren Marlar’s credits include a recurring role as Brother Make-a-Way on TV’s “Preacher’s Kids: The Untold Stories”, as well as comedy appearances on “Focus 4″ on the Cornerstone Television Network, “Local Laughs” on DGTV-6, “I’m Just Saying’” on the TCT Television Network, plus he’s also been seen on KYFC-TV, WDAF-TV, WTVO-TV, and will soon be seen as the recurring character of George on the webisode series “Home Brew”.
Darren has worked with some of the best comedians in the business and has shared the stage with numerous national music artists like Michael W. Smith, Mark Schultz, Jeremy Camp, Audio Adrenaline, Building 429, Nate Sallie, Margaret Becker, Bryan Duncan, Remedy Drive and others.
Through his stand-up comedy Darren covers a variety of subjects like marriage, parents, in-laws, holidays, growing up as a redhead, and finds humor in the day-to-day things of life like child bedtime stories, growing older and using a GPS. When he’s not performing stand-up comedy or acting as the host/M.C. for corporate events, Darren can be found writing comedy for radio stations around the country, writing a monthly humor column and newsletter, hosting a regular podcast, and more! In all areas his objective is the same – to keep his audience entertained!
